Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my purchases?
If you already bought PlantoScan Premium and it isn't active, open the Premium screen in the app and tap Restore purchases. It works the same on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Make sure your device is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used for the purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel them in your store account:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name (Apple ID) → Subscriptions → PlantoScan → Cancel Subscription. See Apple's help page.
- Android:Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PlantoScan → Cancel subscription. See Google's help page.
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
Which plan has the free trial?
The 7-day free trial is available on the yearly plan only. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile (or Settings) and tap Delete Account. If you can't sign in, or want to know what data is deleted, see Delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get better identification results?
- Take a sharp, well-lit photo — daylight works best.
- Focus on one leaf or one flower and let it fill the frame.
- Avoid blur, strong shadows and busy backgrounds.
- If the result doesn't look right, try another photo from a different angle.
My care reminders don't arrive. What can I do?
PlantoScan sends water and fertilizerreminders for the plants in My Plants. If they don't arrive:
- Check that notifications are allowed for PlantoScan. iPhone: Settings → Notifications → PlantoScan. Android: Settings → Apps → PlantoScan → Notifications.
- Make sure battery-saving or Focus / Do Not Disturb modes aren't blocking them.
Can I use the app to decide whether a mushroom is safe to eat?
No. Never eat a mushroom based on the app. Identification from a photo can be wrong, and some poisonous mushrooms look very similar to edible ones. Always ask a qualified mushroom expert.
Where can I see who took a photo?
Tap the credit line under a photo to see the author, the license and the source of the image.
