Humidity-loving plants need 60% or higher ambient humidity to grow well. They thrive in bathrooms, terrariums, kitchens, and anywhere a humidifier or pebble tray maintains moisture around their leaves.

Tropical understory species evolved in environments where rainforest humidity rarely drops below 70%. Indoors, dry winter air or central heating quickly stresses these plants unless humidity is actively maintained. The species below all require at least 60% humidity to thrive.
